This bacterin contains only formalin inactivated culture of Aeromonas salmonicida.

No other preservative is used.

Furogen b Indications

For the vaccination of healthy Koi carp (Cyprinus carpio) as an aid to the prevention of carp erythrodermatitis (ulcer disease) caused by atypical Aeromonas salmonicida sub-species nova.

Furogen b Dosage And Administration

Dosage and Vaccination Procedure: This bacterin has been shown to be safe and effective when administered by immersion to Koi carp (Cyprinus carpio) greater than or equal to 3.0 g in size.

First vaccination should precede exposure of vaccinates to the disease agent by 800 degree days (number of days multiplied by the mean water temperature (°C) during period). A booster immersion vaccination is administered at not less than 14 days and not greater than 30 days following the first vaccination. Revaccination is also recommended biannually for long term holding of Koi carp.

To use, add 125 mL of bacterin to 1.1 litres of clean hatchery water. Net, drain, and immerse 5 kg batches of fish in diluted bacterin for 60 seconds. Diluted bacterin may be used for up to 20 dips before discarding.

Precaution(s)

Shake well before using.

Store between 2-7°C (35-45°F). Do not freeze.

Use entire contents when first opened.

The vaccinal solution should be within 2°C of the ambient water temperature.

Any unused bacterin should be disposed of according to local waste disposal regulations and/or requirements.
