Ermogen
This treatment applies to the following species:Yersinia Ruckeri Bacterin
For Veterinary Use Only
This bacterin contains formalin inactivated cultures of Yersinia ruckeri serotype I. No other preservative is added.
Uses
As an aid in the prevention of Enteric Redmouth Disease caused by Yersinia ruckeri serotype I.
Vaccination Program
This bacterin has been shown to be safe and effective when administered by immersion to healthy salmonids. Vaccination should precede exposure to the disease agent by 250 degree-days (number of days multiplied by the mean water temperature (°C) during period).
Immersion Delivery
Each litre of undiluted bacterin is sufficient for 100 kg of fish. To use, add 1 litre of bacterin to 9 litres of clean hatchery water. Net, drain and immerse 5 kg batches of fish in bacterin for 30 seconds. Diluted bacterin may be used for up to 20 dips before discarding. It is recommended that fish should be 2 g or more in size.
Ermogen Caution
1. Shake well before using.
2. Store at between 2 - 8°C (35 - 46°F). Do not freeze.
3. Use entire contents when first opened.
4. Vaccinate healthy fish only.
5. Do not vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
6. Any unused bacterin should be disposed of according to local waste disposal regulations requirements.
